Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 5: Larry Fitzgerald a tricky play vs. 49ers

Larry Fitzgerald has consistently produced in each game this season. Does that continue with a new QB under center?

The Arizona Cardinals’ passing game will look very different Thursday with Carson Palmer out. A concussion will keep the Pro Bowl quarterback out vs. the San Francisco 49ers, which affects the Cardinals’ whole offense.

That includes Larry Fitzgerald, who has had a resurgence late in his career thanks to Palmer coming to Arizona. In four games this year, Fitz has 25 catches for 280 yards and three scores on 39 targets, all of which are team-highs.

However, most of that came with Palmer in the lineup. Drew Stanton will now take over and start on a short week when Arizona plays in San Francisco. That could spell disaster, but Stanton is experienced enough in this offense that Fitz should keep producing at a good level.

Fantasy Impact: Yahoo! still has Fitz ranked inside their top 25 receivers for Week 5. He gets to face a 49ers defense allowing the fourth-most fantasy points to wide receivers over the past three games.

Keep Fitz in your starting lineup this week.
