Rashad Jennings injury update: Giants RB questionable vs. Packers

The Giants could have their top running back return vs. a tough Packers defense.

The New York Giants are listing Rashad Jennings as questionable to face the Green Bay Packers in Week 5. Jennings is dealing with a thumb injury that caused him to miss the past two games.

The veteran running back looks like a true game-time decision this week, which is bad news for fantasy owners since this is the Sunday Night Football game. In two games this season, Jennings has carried the ball 31 times for 102 yards and no touchdowns. He has also caught three passes for 16 yards.

With Shane Vereen on I.R., New York will rely on Orleans Darkwa, Bobby Rainey, and rookie Paul Perkins in the backfield. Those three have done well enough that Jennings may not get a full workload when he does return.

Fantasy Impact: This was already a terrible matchup for Jennings even if he was active. Green Bay is allowing the fewest fantasy points to running backs this season.

Keep Jennings on the bench this week.
