The Cleveland Browns have yet to win a game this season, and Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Marcell Dareus is confident that will continue through this week.
Those are strong words from Dareus, and it’s the kind of statement players and coaches tend to shy away from. Teams generally don’t want to give opponents — even the 2016 Browns — bulletin board material.
With each week that passes, though, it seems more and more believable that the Browns could finish the season without a single win. Even Cleveland’s mascot is struggling.
The Bills aren’t exactly lighting things up this season. Buffalo is 6-7 and trailing the Patriots and Dolphins in the AFC East. Rumors are swirling that head coach Rex Ryan will be fired, and perhaps before the season ends.
Browns left tackle Joe Thomas disagreed with Dareus’ prediction.
“We’re going to make them the team we break the streak on,” Thomas said.
That wasn’t all Thomas had to say about Dareus.
Most of our experts at SB Nation did pick the Bills to win on Sunday, but Stephen White is holding out hope that Cleveland will be 1-13 after this Week 15 matchup in Buffalo.
