Rams vs. Seahawks 2016 final score: Seattle clinches NFC West with 24-3 win

The Rams fall to 4-10 with the loss.

Firing Jeff Fisher didn’t make a difference for the Los Angeles Rams this week, as they fell 24-3 on the road to the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday Night Football.

These division rivals first met in Week 2 of the regular season, battling to a 9-3 Seahawks win in Los Angeles. This Week 15 matchup featured more scoring, but only by the Seahawks.

After a slow start, and a scoreless first quarter, Seattle surged back and dominated Los Angeles. The Seahawks’ defense sacked Jared Goff four times and forced a fumble.

Russell Wilson bounced back from a terrible Week 14 performance in a 38-10 loss to the Packers in Green Bay to finish Thursday’s game 19 of 26 for 229 yards, three touchdowns and one late-game interception.

Wilson also was kind enough to tie teammate Thomas Rawls’ shoe during a timeout.

Four different players left the game to be evaluated for concussions. Rams quarterback Jared Goff left the game after a hit by Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman, and was replaced by Case Keenum.

Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett and Rams defensive back Michael Jordan were removed from the game to be evaluated for concussions during the matchup, also.

Seahawks punter Jon Ryan had perhaps the most exciting play of the game, when he carried a fake punt 26 yards, converting the first down along the way. He fumbled, but the ball was recovered by Seattle’s Neiko Thorpe.

Ryan, however, took a hard hit at the end of the play, and he also was removed from the game to be evaluated for a concussion.

The Seahawks clinch the NFC West and a spot in the playoffs with the win over Los Angeles.
