Robert Griffin III is in his fifth season in the NFL, but is playing in just his 40th career game against the Buffalo Bills in Week 15 of 2016. That has plenty to do with the fact that Griffin has been hurt often, and he missed most of the 2016 season due to another injury.
He still isn’t protecting himself much, though. In the third quarter against Buffalo, Griffin stared down Bills linebacker Zach Brown and delivered a first down completion, but absorbed a huge hit on the play:
A 15-yard penalty was assessed for roughing the quarterback, presumably because officials felt Brown’s helmet contacted Griffin’s chin.
Griffin still hasn’t thrown a touchdown pass with the Cleveland Browns, but did turn back the clock earlier in the third quarter with a nice touchdown run — weaving through Bills defenders on his way to the end zone.
