Richard Jefferson might be 36 years old, but that doesn’t mean his athleticism has faded. And if you thought he was starting to lose some of the pop he had as a star perimeter player years ago, he proved you wrong on Christmas Day.
Jefferson drove baseline and threw a vicious one-handed tomahawk all over Klay Thompson in Cleveland’s 109-108 holiday win over the Golden State Warriors.
The dunk was part of a successful 14-point fourth quarter rally to give the Cavaliers their first win over the Warriors of the season. It wasn’t the only poster dunk Jefferson had, either. RJ drove the middle and posterized Kevin Durant early on, as well.
Look at Jefferson staring down Durant after dunking on him.
Jefferson finished with eight points on 2-for-11 shooting, but my, were those two made buckets beautiful. He may have gone 0-for-5 from downtown, but those poster dunks were a Christmas present from the basketball gods.
Happy holidays, Cleveland.
