Barketology: The $1 million contest to predict the Westminster Dog Show

You're familiar with Bracketology. Well, now there's Barketology. Purina Pro Plan's $1 million bracket challenge will award a prize to contestants who correctly pick the champions of the 2016 Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, which is taking place on Feb. 15 and 16. ESPN's college basketball analyst Joe Lunardi stopped by the SB Nation Studios to make his picks with Matt Ufford.

When Joe Lunardi sat down to discuss dogs with me, he didn't realize that I take my love of dogs VERY seriously. He probably figured it out not long after he finished one of his points by saying, "... and who didn't grow up with a dog?"

It was a rhetorical question. I answered it. "People with terrible parents," I said. "People who aren't fully realized adults." Joe looked uncomfortable.

We edited that exchange out of the video. The rest of the conversation is focused on the brackets -- we're using the term loosely here -- that we filled out to predict the Best in Group and Best in Show winners of the 2016 Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, the second-oldest sporting event in the United States after the Kentucky Derby -- assuming you consider animal eugenics to be a sport. (We do, because everything is sports.)
