Westminster Dog Show 2016 live stream: Time, TV schedule and how to watch online

Find out how to watch the biggest dog show of the year.

The 140th annual Westminster Dog Show will get underway on Monday. The biggest dog show of the year spans two days, with over 3,000 dogs vying for the top prize of Best in Show.

Monday's events take place at Piers 92/94, with the Hound, Toy, Non-Sporting and Herding breeds competing in a series of athletic contests, as well as general cosmetic judging. Dogs will compete against their own breeds at first, before the best breeds face off in Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night for the coveted Best In Show award.

Monday's event also features a first for the show, with the inaugural Masters Obedience Championship at Westminster. As the title implies, dogs will be tested with hand signals and other various exercises to determine which one is the most obedient. Both purebred and mixed-breed dogs are eligible for this contest.

The Monday show will be televised live on CNBC, with replays on USA Network the following day. Tuesday night's finale at Madison Square Garden will be shown live on USA Network. If you live in Canada, both shows are airing on Animal Planet. Complete TV and online viewing options are available at the Westminster Kennel's official website.
