UPDATE: Best in Show was announced Tuesday night, as well as winners from the Sporting, Working and Terrier groups.
The 140th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show is underway with four groups taking their turns around the ring on Monday, including the Hound group, which produced the Best In Show winner last year. In addition to the Hounds, the Toy, Non-Sporting and Herding groups were also on display Monday night.
The Hound group led off the 2016 show. This group produced the 2015 Best in Show when Miss P, the Best In Show 15-inch Beagle, won. There was no repeat from the Beagles this year with Lucy, a Borzoi, winning the Hound group.

The English Bulldog is always one of the crowd favorites and this year, the breed was also a favorite of the judges. Annabelle the English Bulldog beat out a Dalmatian for the Non-Sporting prize. The crowd at Madison Square Garden was very excited by the result.

Day 1 of the 2016 show ended with the Herding group. Rumor, the German Shepherd, came away with the win. Rumor was arguably the biggest fan favorite of the night, drawing loud ovations during his turn in the ring.
