The biggest dog show of the year, the Westminster Dog Show, got underway on Monday and will wrap up on Tuesday. The show spans just two days with over 3,000 dogs vying for the top prize of Best in Show.
Monday saw the Hound, Toy, Non-Sporting and Herding breeds competing in various contests, from athletics to cosmetic judging. Each group competes with their own breeds first, then the best of each breed will face off for the Best in Show award, the most prestigious honor a dog can get.
Tuesday's finale will take place at Madison Square Garden and will be broadcast live on the USA Network.
Tuesday will include Junior Showmanship, Sporting, Working and Terrier groups before culminating in the Best in Show contest. The events get underway early at 8 a.m. ET, but the televised portion doesn't get underway until 8 p.m. That portion is set to run through 11 p.m.
Live streams will be held throughout the day, however, available at WKCLive.com and other places. Below is all the information you need to know about the schedule.
