Villanova vs. Kansas 2016 live stream: Time, TV schedule and how to watch March Madness online

The Jayhawks and Wildcats meet in an epic Elite Eight clash.

The No. 1 overall seed of the 2016 NCAA Tournament and the hottest team in March Madness will meet on Saturday night to decide which one will move on to the Final Four. It doesn't get much better than No. 1 Kansas vs. No. 2 Villanova in the South Regional Final, in other words.

The Jayhawks were installed as the NCAA Tournament's top seed on Selection Sunday, but got the odd reward of a No. 1 seed in the South Region, rather than the Midwest, leaving them on a path to the Final Four that runs through Louisville rather than Chicago. That hasn't really mattered so far: Kansas blew out overmatched No. 16 Austin Peay in the first round, then ground down No. 9 Connecticut and No. 5 Maryland for its last two victories, eventually winning by double digits. Seemingly ageless and ancient senior Perry Ellis has been a rock for the Jayhawks, scoring 23 points per game in their three wins.

But while Kansas has beaten its foes by a healthy 16 points per game, Villanova has been immolating its competition. The Wildcats torched No. 3 Miami, 92-69, in the Sweet Sixteen, adding a third win by at least 19 points to its NCAA Tournament resume alongside demolitions of No. 15 UNC Asheville and No. 7 Iowa. Jay Wright's squad has been lava-hot from distance, making at least 10 threes in all three NCAA Tournament games and going an absurd 33-for-62 on its treys since March Madness began.

Kansas is back in the Elite Eight for the first time since 2012, when it also made its last Final Four trip before falling in the national final to Kentucky. Villanova wants to return to the Final Four for the first time since 2009, when it beat Pittsburgh in its last Elite Eight appearance, then lost to North Carolina in a national semifinal.
