The Eagles just traded a boatload of draft picks to the Browns so that they could move up to the No. 2 spot and select the team's latest quarterback of the future, who should not be confused with quarterbacks of the present Sam Bradford and Chase Daniel. But here's the thing: which quarterback are they going to take with the No. 2 pick, Carson Wentz or Jared Goff?
Eagles general manager Howie Roseman was able to shed some light on the situation during a Wednesday afternoon press conference.
Howie Roseman: We don't know who the Rams will draft, but "we're very sure we're going to get the player we want."

But how can you be sure? There are signs pointing to the Rams taking Goff, but there are also reports that they'll take Wentz. Surely they have a preference though, right? It's not, say, picking a flavor of ice cream or choosing a pizza topping.
Roseman: The only way to make this trade is to be comfortable with both of the quarterbacks at the top of the draft.

"It's like vanilla or chocolate. It's like pepperoni pizza or sausage."@Eagles GM Roseman on Goff vs. Wentz. https://t.co/H5YakCUvXx

Vanilla and chocolate are two very different flavors! And there's more than one kind of sausage pizza, not to mention that pepperoni is kind of a sausage too. Even if you really do like every kind of ice cream and are willing to take whatever cured meat you can get on your pizza, most people would still have a preference.

You'd better be! Because at least if you order a pepperoni pizza and they only have sausage, you still get to eat a flavorful combination of meat, cheese and grease (hopefully it's not some disgusting Chicago style pizza, because that's like the Browns of pizza).
The Eagles know which quarterback the Rams are drafting with the No. 1 pick, and Roseman is saying that in a roundabout, but very delicious way. He added that the Eagles have a very good relationship with the Rams, and both teams made these moves because last year's Sam Bradford-Nick Foles swap didn't provide the long-term answers they were looking for at quarterback.
So if everything goes according to plan, the Rams will draft Goff and the Eagles will draft Wentz. Meanwhile, the Browns, who are constantly looking for their next franchise quarterback, decided that Wentz was not going to be that guy. Or maybe the Browns just don't like pizza.
