UFC 197 takes place tonight (Sat., April 23, 2016) inside MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, featuring the return of former Light Heavyweight champion, Jon Jones, who was stripped of his title one year ago because of numerous "off field" transgressions, most notably a hit-and-run car accident. Jones will fight Ovince Saint Preux in the pay-per-view (PPV) main event inside MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nev. Preux is a short notice replacement for current 205-pound champion, Daniel Cormier, who was forced to withdraw from his rematch with Jones because of an injury sustained in training.
UFC 197's PPV main card, which will start promptly at 10 p.m. ET later this evening, will feature four other matches. In addition to the main event, dominant Flyweight champion, Demetrious Johnson, will attempt to make another successful 125-pound title defense against Olympic gold medal-winning wrestler, Henry Cejudo, in the co-featured fight of the night. Former Lightweight champion, Anthony Pettis, will look to get back in the title chase with a win over Edson Barboza, who -- like "Showtime" -- is a dynamic striker and ferocious finisher.
