The offseason officially starts with the NBA Draft. The Finals are in the past, and for one night franchises can convince themselves that they have landed the savior who will lead them to contention. The possibilities seem endless, which is what makes it such a fun event.
What adds even more excitement to the proceedings are the trades that take place even as the names of the prospects are read on the stage by the commissioner. Teams are always looking to move up, in or out and there are always motivated sellers.
This year is no exception. Before the draft even started there were several trades and surely more will come as the night goes on. Four teams hold a combined 12 first-round picks, so some will surely change hands. There have been rumors about established players being on the block and there are always some surprises. Expect plenty of trade activity.
