The start of Summer isn’t marked by some stupid solstice or meteorologists telling us it’s Summer. The season doesn’t officially begin until NBA stars ride around on banana boats together — and it’s here. Once again LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Paul are out on the seas together and this year they’re joined on the banana with a new friend: Carmelo Anthony.
The four basketball friends went on a banana boat ride in 2015, but the iconic photos didn’t include Melo. He went on the trip, but the actual banana had Wade’s wife, Gabrielle Union, on the boat instead of Melo.
Chris Paul looked prepared for his banana adventure.

The pals even had a custom Snapchat filter made to commemorate the occasion.
