Ronaldinho scored 5 goals in his 1st game of professional futsal in India

Watching India’s Premier Futsal League is like getting a distilled dose of nostalgia injected right into your eyeballs. It’s the inaugural season of the indoor soccer league and it’s boasting stars from the past like Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs, Hernan Crespo and Ronaldinho. It’s that last dude we need to talk about, because in the first game of the season he tore it up.

The former FIFA World Player of the Year is past his prime on the regular pitch, but showed that he can still tear it up when needed. He led Goa with five goals against Bengaluru (led by Paul Scholes). Normally, we don’t see big-name athletes compete in weird off-brand events unless it’s a one-off, but Premier Futsal has the backing of a lot of money. This is wonderful and we hope we keep getting awesome highlights from it.
