The US Track and Field Olympic Trials from Eugene, Ore. are the lone USA trials event going currently after sharing the spotlight with swimming, which ended on Sunday. On Monday, four different finals will be held at the Trials, including the men's pole vault and javelin throw and both the men's and women's 800-meter races.
Coverage of those 800-meter race finals will be broadcast live on NBCSN beginning at 7 p.m. ET and running for about two hours. There will also be a live stream of that broadcast via NBC Sports. The men's pole vault final will also be available for viewing on Monday but only via an NBC Sports live stream, with links below.
In the javelin throw, Cyrus Hostetler and Sean Furey will be among the competitors for Monday's final. Both represented the United States in the event at the 2012 Olympics, though neither did well enough to advance to the finals at those Games. None of the competitors in the men's pole vault finals represented the country in 2012.
The full list of athletes competing in the men's 800-meter finals includes Charles Jock, Brandon Johnson, Casimir Loxsom, Boris Berian, Isaiah Harris, Erik Sowinski, Clayton Murphy, Harun Abda and Craig Engels, none of whom participated in the event in the London Olympics.
For the women's 800-meter, Alysia Montano is definitely the one to watch. She represented the US in the same event in London and advanced to the final, but she finished in fifth place and did not earn a medal.
