Watch the 3-pointer that gave Carmelo Anthony the U.S. Olympic scoring record

Carmelo Anthony led Team USA to a 98-88 win in a tough battle over Australia on Wednesday at the 2016 Olympics in Rio, and in doing so became the all-time leading scorer for the United States in Olympic play with this three-pointer in the first quarter:

That was one of nine three-pointers for Anthony, who led all scorers Wednesday with 31 points in 35 minutes. He passed LeBron James atop the list of U.S. scorers in Olympic play, and now has 293 points in 26 career games.

This is the fourth Olympic Games for Anthony, who won bronze in 2004 and gold medals in 2008 and 2012.
