Clemson’s newest receiving threat? A 310-pound defensive tackle.

Second catch of his career, so those hands are still fresh.

Let’s list some of Clemson’s great pass-catching threats. Sammy Watkins. DeAndre Hopkins. Martavis Bryant. Christian Wilkins?

Yup, Christian Wilkins, the Clemson tackle who already had a place in program history as the first defensive lineman in school history to catch a pass, on a fake punt in last year’s Orange Bowl. Unfortunately, that came too late to be eligible for last year’s Piesman Trophy, so good on the Tigers for getting him a catch early. It’s just easier for everyone this way.
