One of the NFL’s most productive wide receivers a year ago, Jarvis Landry will begin his third season with the Miami Dolphins in a matchup against the Seattle Seahawks and their vicious defense.
With Miami getting a new head coach in Adam Gase this year, it will be interesting how one of the best offensive minds in the league will use Landry against the Seahawks’ stud pass defense. Lining him up in various positions within their offense may the Dolphins best chance at getting Landry the ball to allow him to make plays after the catch.
Fantasy Impact: Going against a Seattle defense that only allowed opposing receivers to catch 57 percent of their targets in 2015 is probably not the scenario Landry spends dreaming about each night. On second thought, It might actually prevent him from sleeping.
Landry’s Week 1 projections from Yahoo! of six catches for 63 yards do actually see the young receiver getting plenty of opportunities with the ball on Sunday. But that stat line should still cause some fantasy owners to consider other options besides Landry in their lineup at least until next week.
