Miami Dolphins’ head coach Adam Gase said wide receiver DeVante Parker (hamstring) is close to returning for the team’s Sunday meeting with division rival New England, according to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald. Parker was inactive for the team’s Week 1 loss against the Seattle Seahawks. The former first-round draft pick has battled hamstring strains in both legs since training camp. Gase told Jackson the Dolphins want “to get (Parker) as close to possible where we don’t feel he will have another setback” and he was close to suiting up for the season opener in Seattle. Parker remains questionable for Week 2.
Fantasy Impact: Parker’s return will not be easy against the Patriots, if the second-year receiver is able to play Sunday. Parker’s vertical threat makes him attractive to owners, but he is going up against a stingy Patriots secondary. Parker could be a boom or bust in Week 2. Owners can roll the dice and hope for the best.
