U.S. Open champion Stan Wawrinka somehow can't beat Jimmy Fallon in ‘Wii Tennis’

Stan Wawrinka won the U.S. Open men’s title on Sunday. He defeated a number of folks to get there, including no. 1 ranked Novak Djokovic in the championship match. So you’d think he’d be able to beat Jimmy Fallon in Wii Tennis — wrong. Obviously, real tennis is not Wii Tennis — there’s a big discrepency between the controls and what you see on the screen. That is, your player moves where the ball goes, not when you move. And Fallon, being the gamer that he is, knows this, which is why he exploited Wawrinka’s lack of experience to beat him.

“Be honest, did you have the best time of your life?” Fallon asked Wawrinka. “I wish, but no,” Wawrinka said. “I will never come back again.”
