New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski (hamstring) told NFL Network’s Courtney Fallon that he is returning to practice Wednesday. Gronkowski missed New England’s season-opening win over the Arizona Cardinals. The four-time Pro Bowler has battled a hamstring injury that has nagged him since camp. He missed most of the Patriots’ preseason games and was a late scratch for Week 1. There is no official word out of New England on whether Gronkowski will suit up for the team’s Week 2 matchup with division rival Miami Dolphins.
Fantasy Impact: The Patriots want Gronkowski on the field and, if he can go Sunday, expect to see Gronk targeted a lot. This is great for owners. He will be a good safety net for backup Jimmy Garoppolo as a big, reliable target. Also, the sixth-year TE has a good history against Miami, posting over 40 yards and at least one touchdown in three of the last four meetings. Gronkowski is a no-briner TE1 if he is a go Sunday.
