Is Father Time finally catching up with Brandon Marshall?
The 32-year-old receiver had a tough time vs. the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 1, catching just three passes for 32 yards on eight targets. He spent most of the game matched up with Adam Jones, who has become one of the NFL's better cornerbacks.
Still, seeing Marshall get that many looks and be unable to convert is concerning. The fact he missed a lot of the preseason with hip soreness may have aided his rusty start.
This week, Marshall will look to rebound against a Buffalo Bills defense that finished 2015 allowing the 10th-most points to wide receivers. At his best, Marshall is one of the best fantasy receivers you can have, so we'll treat him as such until he consistently puts up duds.
Fantasy Impact: Marshall's Week 1 struggles have him projected low in this week's rankings. His matchup with the Bills has led to him being the 10th-ranked wide receiver by Yahoo! this week regarding fantasy projections. They see Marshall going for around six catches for 72 yards vs. Buffalo.
While not the kind of big games we're used to seeing from Marshall, even that line is solid in most fantasy leagues. There is no reason to keep Marshall out of your starting lineup.
