Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 2: Ryan Fitzpatrick losing fantasy relevance

After a career year in 2015, Ryan Fitzpatrick is off to a slow start in 2016. Will he rebound vs. the Bills?

Ryan Fitzpatrick will look to rebound from a Week 1 dud when the New York Jets face the Buffalo Bills on Thursday.

Fitzpatrick was held in check by the Cincinnati Bengals last week, as he finished with just 189 passing yards and two passing scores and one interception. That kind of line won't cut it, so we will need to see more out of Fitzpatrick this week against the Buffalo Bills if he is to remain fantasy relevant.

The good news is that poor line was not surprising against a Bengals defense that allowed the third-fewest points to quarterbacks in 2015. Buffalo allowed the 15th-most points.

Fantasy Impact: Fitzpatrick's Week 1 dud has him projected low in this week's rankings. His matchup with the Bills has led to him being the 20th-ranked quarterback by Yahoo! this week in terms of fantasy projections. They see Fitzpatrick throwing for around 231 yards and one score vs. one interception.

That is not going to cut it in most fantasy leagues, so hopefully you will not be forced to start him this week. He needs to be kept on your bench, if not the waiver wire.
