The Jacksonville Jaguars have ruled out running back Chris Ivory for Sunday's matchup with the San Diego Chargers. Head coach Gus Bradley said he is "hopeful" Ivory can return in Week 3, according to NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport.
Ivory is still recovering from an undisclosed illness that hospitalized him in Week 1 before Jacksonville faced the Green Bay Packers. He is now missing his second game due to what was initially called "an emergency medical condition."
Ivory has yet to play a regular season game for the Jaguars after signing with them in free agency this past offseason. He was going to challenge T.J. Yeldon for the starting job.
Fantasy Impact: As long as Ivory is out, Yeldon will get the bulk of the carries in Jacksonville's offense. It does not sound like Ivory is in danger of missing too much more time, so do not cut him from your roster just yet.
