Editor's update: Wheaton is not expected to play, per Ian Rapoport.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are listing Markus Wheaton as questionable to play against the Cincinnati Bengals. Wheaton is still expected to play Sunday, according to Dale Lolley of the Observer-Reporter.
A shoulder injury kept Wheaton from playing in Week 1. With him out, Sammie Coates and Eli Rogers got more run with the first-team offense. On Friday, Coates continued to get Wheaton’s first-team offensive reps.
It looks like Wheaton could be eased back into the offense if he does play this week. He was expected to be the No. 2 boundary receiver in Pittsburgh’s offense, but his shoulder injury has hurt his bid for that spot.
Fantasy Impact: Wheaton’s return just makes Pittsburgh’s receiver situation even cloudier after Antonio Brown. Rogers, Coates and Wheaton should be involved in the offense this week, but not enough that any of them are viable fantasy plays this week.
Keep Wheaton on your bench this week.
