Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 2: Joe Flacco primed for a big game this week

The Ravens’ quarterback gets a matchup with a Cleveland defense that allowed a rookie quarterback to have his way with them a week ago. We explore the fantasy implications.

In his first regular season action since missing the final six games due to a torn ACL a year ago, quarterback Joe Flacco had a solid performance in the Baltimore Ravens’ 13-7 win over the Buffalo Bills last Sunday.

He finished the day completing 22 of his 33 passes for 258 yards and one touchdown. For Week 2, Flacco gets to face a Cleveland Browns defense that allowed the fourth most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks in standard leagues in 2015.

Fantasy Impact: After the Browns’ defense allowed Philadelphia Eagles rookie quarterback Carson Wentz to throw for 278 yards and two touchdowns a week ago, there is no reason to think that Flacco cannot have a similar, or better, performance on Sunday.

Yahoo! projects the Ravens’ quarterback to have a pretty decent day this week against Cleveland, throwing for 260 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. Despite these projections, Flacco would surprise absolutely no one if he had a monster game and passed for at least 300 yards on Sunday.
