Seattle Seahawks tight end Jimmy Graham is not a sure bet to play Week 1, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Graham’s 2015 season ended with a ruptured patellar tendon in Week 12 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The sixth-year TE has returned to full practice this preseason, but Rapoport reports there is "another step" that Graham must take in order to be cleared to play.
Graham suffered possibly the worst football injury there is last year. The Pro Bowler’s recovery has been going well, but he did not play in any of the Seahawks’ preseason games. The uncertainty around Graham’s return puts fantasy owners in a tough position. Graham will be limited Week 1, if he plays at all. Owners will need to fill the void and carry two TEs on their roster until Graham can return to full strength. At this point, do not expect Graham’s production to be high before Week 3 or Week 4 of the season.
