Chris Hogan has easily been one of the best acquisitions the New England Patriots made this year.
Through two games, Hogan has caught seven passes for 119 yards and one score. The problem is Jimmy Garoppolo was the quarterback throwing him most of those passes.
Now, third-round rookie Jacoby Brissett is set to start Thursday night in place of the injured Garoppolo. It also comes against a Houston Texans defense that is allowing the ninth-fewest fantasy points to wide receivers this season.
All of this makes playing any Patriots pass-catcher a very risky play, including Hogan.
Fantasy Impact: With Brissett having such limited film, it is very hard to tell how effective he will be getting Hogan the ball. Yahoo! currently has Hogan as their 57th-ranked receiver for Week 3. However, they only project Hogan to catch around two passes for 28 yards.
With so much uncertainty in this offense, keep Hogan on the bench this week.
