Editor's update No. 2: Watkins is officially INACTIVE.
Editor’s update: Adam Schefter is reporting Watkins is OUT for Sunday, and Marquise Goodwin will start in his place.
Sammy Watkins and the Buffalo Bills are having a season to forget. Watkins is being listed as questionable to play against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.
However, head coach Rex Ryan said the chances Watkins plays Sunday were "probably not real good," according to ESPN reporter Mike Rodak.
Watkins, who underwent offseason surgery to repair a stress fracture in his foot, was limited to four grabs for 43 yards on six targets in Week 1 vs. the Baltimore Ravens.
It was then revealed Watkins was playing through pain and discomfort in the surgically-repaired foot, which is clearly limiting him on the field. He caught just two passes for 20 yards on five targets in Week 2 vs. the New York Jets.
Fantasy Impact: Watkins was already going to be a bad fantasy play this week going against the Cardinals’ All-Pro cornerback Patrick Peterson. The foot injury just makes it easier to keep Watkins on your bench this week.
