Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 3: Dennis Pitta finally back to his old form

Baltimore’s tight end will look to continue his early season success this Sunday against the Jaguars. We explore the fantasy implications.

Scheduled to make his third start of the season this weekend against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Baltimore Ravens tight end Dennis Pitta will have already matched his total number of starts from 2014. Some thought the tight end’s NFL career could be finished after he missed the entire 2015 season with a hip injury, but he is back in the lineup this year and looking better than ever.

Fantasy Impact: After an impressive performance against the Cleveland Browns a week ago (nine catches for 102 yards), Pitta gets another favorable matchup against a weak Jaguars’ defense on Sunday.

Jacksonville’s defense has already allowed six passing touchdowns in their first two games of 2016 and they have yet to come up with a single interception. Yahoo! is projecting the tight end to finish with four catches for 45 yards against the Jaguars, but he is more than capable of exceeding those numbers this weekend.

With a number of tight ends struggling to produce so far this season, Pitta seems like a legit option for fantasy owners on Sunday.
