Editor’s update: Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport are both reporting Jeffery is expected to be active. He will double-check the knee in workouts, but the team is optimistic.
The Chicago Bears are listing Alshon Jeffery as questionable vs. the Dallas Cowboys in Week 3. Head coach John Fox did say Friday that Jeffery missed Thursday’s practice "just to help get him ready for Sunday," according to Chicago Sun-Times reporter Patrick Finley.
That would certainly indicate Jeffery is on track to play in Week 3, but Fox is notorious for muddying the injury waters with his players, leaving uncertainty right up until game time.
That will be the case again for Jeffery, who plays Sunday night in Dallas, so you may have to make a call on him before you know if he is active. He was limited Wednesday with a hamstring injury, then missed Thursday before returning for a limited practice on Friday.
Fantasy Impact: This is actually an easy call. Between Jeffery’s health and Jay Cutler likely being out (he is doubtful to play), keep the star receiver on your bench this week. There is too much working against him having even a decent game this week.
