Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 3: Quincy Enunwa is becoming a factor

New York’s third wide receiver is their leading pass catcher this season. We explore the fantasy implications.

When taking a look at the New York Jets’ receiving statistics this year, neither All-Pro wide receiver Brandon Marshall or touchdown catch machine Eric Decker will be listed in the top slot. With 13 catches in the Jets’ first two games, the 24-year-old Quincy Enunwa is the team’s current leader in receptions this season.

Enunwa is well on his way to surpass his career high of 22 catches that he had all of last year in New York.

Fantasy Impact: This week, Enunwa gets a good matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs. So far this season, the Chiefs’ defense is allowing opposing wide receivers to average 14 yards per catch.

With Marshall nursing a knee injury that could keep him out this weekend, Enunwa could become an even more important part of the Jets’ offensive strategy on Sunday. Yahoo! does not seem to feel that way, as they only project the receiver to catch four passes for 44 yards against Kansas City.

But they also projected Enunwa to only have 25 catches for the entire 2016 season. New York’s young receiver should at least be a good flex option for fantasy owners this week.
