Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 3: Christine Michael could provide a spark

Seattle’s running back may get an increased workload against the 49ers on Sunday. We explore the fantasy implications.

For an offense that has been struggling to do anything, running back Christine Michael has been one of the few bright spots for the Seattle Seahawks this season.

He is averaging 15 touches per game in 2016 and he currently leads the team in total yards with 157. With fellow Seattle running backs Thomas Rawls and C.J. Prosise currently dealing with injuries, Michael should be the back with the ball in his hands the most this Sunday.

Fantasy Impact: For Week 3, Michael and the Seahawks get to face off against the San Francisco 49ers and their less than stellar run defense.

The 49ers did well against Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley in Week 1 (17 carries for 47 yards), but Carolina Panthers backup running back Fozzy Whittaker was able to burn them for 131 total yards on 19 touches in last week.

Yahoo! projects Michael to finish with 74 total yards and one touchdown on 15 touches against San Francisco on Sunday. There seems to be enough reason for fantasy owners to keep the running back off of their bench this weekend.
