Fantasy football rankings, Week 4: Quarterbacks

The SB Nation fantasy team reveals which quarterbacks rank in the top 25 heading into Week 4.

Welcome back for another week of fantasy football rankings. Quarterback Trevor Siemian had a dominant performance in Week 3. He was expected to manage the offense and not make too many mistakes. The yards and touchdowns that he posted against the Bengals demonstrated fantasy potential. We know the Broncos have talent at the skill positions. Another thing we know is that head coach Gary Kubiak likes to run the ball. Keep an eye on Siemian over the next few weeks. If you’re in need of a replacement quarterback because of injury or bye week, he’s worth a shot.

Once again, Russell Wilson put a scare into fantasy owners. His leg was bent at a very awkward angle and it looked like a potentially serious knee injury. He returned to the game in a brace but was replaced in the second half. Wilson has an MCL sprain in his left knee and will be day-to-day. Make sure to have a game plan ready if Wilson is unable to start in Week 4. Jay Cutler remains day-to-day with his thumb sprain. Jimmy Garoppolo and Jacoby Brissett will be day-to-day with their injuries. The Patriots will keep us guessing all week. I think Garoppolo will make the start against the Bills. He’s not worth the start unless it’s an absolute emergency.

Green Bay and Philadelphia are on bye in Week 4. Aaron Rodgers and Carson Wentz will need to be replaced in your lineups. Joe Flacco and Andy Dalton are worth starting this week as replacements. They’ve got positive matchups and have been playing pretty well to start the season.

My sleeper this weeks is Siemian. The coaches finally allowed him to throw downfield and it paid off. His opponent this week is Tampa Bay. They allowed Case Keenum to complete some long touchdown passes. I believe that Siemian will throw for two touchdowns and 290 yards.
