DeVante Parker is starting to become what the Miami Dolphins hoped he would be.
Now recovered from a hamstring injury that cost him most of training camp and the Week 1 opener, Parker has caught 11 passes for 157 yards and one score in two games this season. He now gets to face a Cincinnati Bengals defense that has allowed nine passing scores this season, the third-most of any team.
However, Miami's offense is a mess right now with as many as three key offensive linemen missing this game based on their injury report. That makes Parker and the rest of the Dolphins offense a risky play on a short week with this game being on Thursday.
Fantasy Impact: Yahoo! has Parker ranked as the 33rd-best wide receiver in Week 4. They also project Parker to catch just four passes for 57 yards, which simply is not going to cut it in most fantasy leagues.
Even though the Bengals secondary has been struggling in recent weeks, keep Parker on the bench for this one. We need to see more of Parker on a week-to-week basis before he becomes someone worth starting outside emergency situations and in deeper leagues.
