Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 4: Jay Ajayi lost in Dolphins’ RB shuffle

The Dolphins have been playing all four of their healthy backs in recent weeks, which makes Jay Ajayi hard to play in fantasy football.

The Miami Dolphins backfield remains a mystery in fantasy football.

The team is still listing Jay Ajayi as the backup behind the injured Arian Foster, who is expected to miss Thursday's clash with the Cincinnati Bengals. After Ajayi was benched in Week 1, he has rushed for 42 yards and one score on 12 carries over the past two games. He also chipped in four catches for 31 yards, but none of this is enough to make Ajayi relevant in fantasy football.

Also hurting Ajayi's value is the fact that Damien Williams, Isaiah Pead, and Kenyan Drake are getting almost as many touches per game. All three of those backs got at least four touches last week, and it looks like this committee approach will continue against the Bengals, who are one of two teams to not allow a rushing score this season.

Fantasy Impact: Yahoo! ranks Ajayi as the 41st-best running back in Week 4. He probably should be lower than that with all of the other Dolphins backs getting touches. Until Miami figures out which back should get the majority of touches, keep Ajayi on your bench.
