New York Jets quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick thinks he can perform even better this season than he did in 2015, according to ESPN’s Rich Cimini on Wednesday. When speaking to Cimini, Fitzpatrick said, "I’m going to be a better player this year than I was last year. I know that."
It should be interesting to see if the Jets’ quarterback can own up to his statement and top his numbers from a season ago, where he threw for over 3,900 yards and 31 touchdowns in 16 games.
Fantasy Impact: 2016 fantasy owners are not buying Fitzpatrick to lead their squad this year. Despite his impressive stats last year, the New York quarterback does not even have an ADP that ranks among the top 20 quarterbacks for this season.
The Jets’ offense has the weapons (Brandon Marshall, Eric Decker, Matt Forte) for him to be successful once again in 2016, but can he follow through? If he can, he could emerge as a top fantasy option this year.
