Eric Ebron remains on pace to play in Week 1 when the Detroit Lions face the Indianapolis Colts. After returning to practice Monday, Ebron continued to practice Wednesday, according to MLive.com reporter Kyle Meinke.
The third-year tight end could be in line for a big season in Detroit's Megatron-less offense. However, a scary preseason injury threatened to derail that. It ended up being just an ankle sprain, but it did keep Ebron sidelined for a month before he returned to practice Monday.
With Detroit carrying just four wide receivers on its initial 53-man roster, the tight ends figure to be a big part of the passing game, which is great news for Ebron.
Fantasy Spin: Assuming Ebron plays vs. the Colts, he should have a productive game. He is barely ranked inside the top 15 tight endss for Week 1, but his upside in this offense makes him a tantalizing play.
