Seattle Seahawks tight end Jimmy Graham’s chances of playing this Sunday against the Miami Dolphins "are good," according to head coach Pete Carroll on Wednesday. Graham is recovering from a torn patellar tendon that cut his season short in 2015.
Before the injury, the Seahawks’ tight end struggled to find his fit in the team’s offense. Graham only had one game in 2015 where he gained over 100 yards receiving -- a feat he accomplished seven times in the two years before while with the New Orleans Saints.
Fantasy Impact: If Graham does indeed play in Week 1, he will be going against a Dolphins defense that was not too friendly to tight ends in 2015. Miami’s defense allowed the seventh-lowest amount of fantasy points to opposing tight ends last season.
This may not be the best matchup for Graham to return to the field, but it will also be the first week of the 2016 NFL season and almost anything can (and usually does) happen.
