Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott told the media that his hamstring is now "100 percent" according to Rob Phillips of DallasCowboys.com on Wednesday. Elliott suffered the leg injury during a team practice back on Aug. 2.
This is great news for the Cowboys, who’s expectations are likely high given the fact that they selected Elliott with the fourth overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.
Fantasy Impact: For 2016, Dallas’ rookie is already being regarded as one of the top fantasy running backs in the entire league, despite having yet to play a down in a regular season game. As of right now, his 2016 ADP is fourth among running backs, putting him ahead of players such as Eddie Lacy, Devonta Freeman, and LeSean McCoy.
It may seem like the expectations are a little too high for Elliott heading into the season. But if anyone can live up to them, it would probably be the guy who scored 41 total touchdowns in his final two seasons at Ohio State.
