The Panthers’ rookie has been an impressive performer this year. We break down the fantasy implications.
Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey is holding his own through his first three career NFL games. He caught nine out of 11 targets against the New Orleans Saints last week finishing with 101 yards. Not bad for a pass-catching runner.
Its obvious McCaffrey has tons of talent, and with teammate Kelvin Benjamin going down to injury, the young newbie stepped up. McCaffrey will continue to grow as a fantasy talent moving forward.
Fantasy impact: McCaffrey will continue to impress in what should be a high-scoring game against the New England Patriots in Week 4. Keep in mind however that he is indeed in his rookie season. There will be ups and downs.
Also note that Benjamin will play against New England so he should soak up some of McCaffrey’s targets. Either way, McCaffrey is someone worth holding onto as the season progresses.
He could be a stud for a long time in the world of fantasy football.
