It’s a pretty straightforward injury report in Week 4, with some hopefulness sprinkled in for many fantasy owners.
At quarterback, the main names that are listed as out are Andrew Luck and Sam Bradford. Luck is still battling with a shoulder injury, and orthopedic surgeon Dr. David Chao said earlier this week that he doesn’t expect Luck back until November. He went on to say that he believes Luck will need about four weeks of practice before he’ll be game-ready, and he has yet to be cleared for practice, so that suggests he’s still about a month away.
Bradford is still dealing with that knee, as he’ll miss his third straight game, meaning Case Keenum will continue the quarterback duties.
Matt Forte will sit out with a knee/toe injury, which is obviously good news for Bilal Powell owners and the Jets going up against the Jaguars. C.J. Promise is also out, so Chris Carson owners get that added nod of confidence for a Sunday Night Football matchup against the Colts.
Sticking with Sunday Night Football, Doug Baldwin will be a game-time decision. He made it through Friday’s practice without any setbacks, which is obviously good news after he was held out earlier in the week.
Melvin Gordon, Carlos Hyde and Jay Ajayi are all listed as questionable. Gordon was upgraded to a full practice on Friday, so there should be no setbacks there. Hyde is said to be “still hurting,” but it appears he’ll play. Ajayi will also play, but it looks like head coach Adam Gase will limit his third-down usage as the Dolphins take on the Saints in London.
Sticking with the London game, Willie Snead is on the injury report before what would be his first game back from suspension. Snead was a late addition to the injury report, which is seldomly good news. All things considered — between travel to and from London and the Saints’ bye week in Week 5 — the Saints may just hold Snead out for precautionary reasons.
Other notables listed as questionable are Kenny Golladay, Michael Crabtree, John Brown and J.J. Nelson.
Golladay has missed multiple practices this week. Raiders coach Jack del Rio was non-commital on Crabtree’s status on Friday. Arizona coach Bruce Arians said both Brown and Nelson are expected to play.
Lastly, Tyler Eifert will sit out with a back injury.
