No. 8 Oklahoma visits No. 11 Oklahoma State for a big rivalry game Saturday (4 p.m. ET, FS1). Ahead of that, someone asked Sooner quarterback Baker Mayfield about Cowboy coach Mike Gundy, who has a mullet. The QB’s response:

“Gotta respect it,” Mayfield said. “Gotta respect the mullet. Business in the front, party in the back. It’s something that, the mustache has to show up on Saturday. It’ll be a battle of who has the best mullet or mustache.”
It sure will be.

His description of Gundy’s mullet, though common, is accurate. It says “board meeting with a couple of Wall Street types in the front, Fourth of July kegger in the back.”
It’s not the first time Mayfield has admitted respect for the Gundy mullet. He also did it in 2016.
"It's ferocious," Mayfield said then. "It's very dirty. You've got to respect that he's rocking it."
And you’ve got to respect Mayfield for respecting it.
