On the latest episode of Wake Up, College Football, Dan and Richard are assigned a not-so-simple task: Build a dream team made up of various college football position groups (they can only use one from each school they choose) to challenge Alabama, still college football's gold standard.
The groups include QB, RB/WR/TE, OL, DL, LB, DB, and a coaching staff to really round the team into shape.
At QB, is Louisville's Lamar Jackson the clear choice with his ability to destroy defenses with both his arm and feet, or is Oklahoma QB Baker Mayfield a better choice considering his Heisman-caliber 2017?
Whose collection of offensive skill talent is complete enough to challenge the Alabama defense? Oklahoma State's Justice Hill and James Washington highlight a deep Cowboy grouping, but what about the proven speed of Travis Etienne, Deon Cain, and a number of talented Clemson playmakers? How about Penn State's combo of Heisman-caliber RB Saquon Barkley, a couple of dangerous deep threats, and matchup nightmare TE Mike Gesicki?
Along the defensive line, is the pick Ohio State's crazy depth and talent combo, or Washington's duo of top-tier tackles, Greg Gaines and Vita Vea? Or someone else entirely?
Whose secondary is up to the task of running with Alabama skill talent? Selecting Florida State's gives you Derwin James, but what about TCU and the success they've had challenging various Big 12 offenses? A third choice?
... and much more!
