Vikings RB Jerick McKinnon breaks out ‘dirty bird’ TD celebration in hometown of Atlanta

The Sprayberry High School graduate let everyone know he was home.

Jerick McKinnon is playing in his hometown of Atlanta against the Falcons, and he celebrated by doing the “dirty bird” after his touchdown.

To no surprise, his execution of the celebration was flawless:

McKinnon was waiting for this moment, and he made the most of it when it arrived.

“It’s going to be fun,” McKinnon said Monday via the Pioneer Press. “Back home. Home city. Hopefully, I can score a touchdown. I want to do a celebration. … I’ve got something in mind.”

As it turns out, it was the dirty bird.

He’s also determined not to lose. “I can’t lose (the game) because if I lose I have to hear it for a whole year,” McKinnon said. “I’m trying to do everything I can to make a play when I get a chance to. I have a lot of family there.”

His touchdown put the Vikings up 7-3 with 10 minutes to go in the second quarter.
