Marshawn Lynch doesn’t love speaking to the media. That’s a well-known fact. But he at least had a good reason to dodge reporters after the Raiders’ 24-17 win over the Giants on Sunday.
Lynch had to cut things short with the media to handle a notice for a random drug test in his locker.
Marshawn Lynch politely declined a postgame interview with reporters, citing the random drug test he’s required to take.

“If you don’t understand what this is, it’s when you put your ding-ding sauce out and give them a sample.”
His wording makes perfect sense, actually. When Lynch got fined repeatedly for grabbing his crotch in touchdown celebrations, he referred to it at his “ding-ding.” So “ding-ding sauce” is a logical extension of that.
Lynch is coming off of his best game since he came out of retirement before the 2017 season. He had his first 100-plus yard game since he returned, with 101 and a touchdown. He added 20 receiving yards in Oakland’s 24-17 win. So reporters probably had plenty of things they wanted to ask him.
But when a man’s got to go, he’s got to go.
"It's either this, or that, and I cant afford that. I apologize,” Lynch said via Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.
The man who gave us the catchphrase “I’m just here so I won’t get fined” probably wasn’t all that sorry to duck out on postgame interviews. But still, when the NFL needs a sample of Marshawn’s ding-ding sauce, the media is just going to have to understand.
