What a way to end the season.

The city of Buffalo is going to send a nice holiday gift basket to the Cincinnati Bengals.

The Bills went into Sunday needing a win and some help to make the postseason — a Bengals win over the Ravens. They got it in incredibly dramatic fashion after doing their part in beating the Dolphins, 22-16.

Faced with a fourth-and-12 down by four, Andy Dalton fired a pass in to Tyler Boyd for 49 yards with just 44 seconds left in the game:

The score put the Bengals up, 31-27. The Ravens got the ball with three timeouts left but weren’t able to do anything with the football. The Bengals were able to end the game with a kneel down, sending Buffalo to the playoffs.

The Ravens were effectively eliminated from postseason contention with the loss and allowed the Bills to clinch their first playoff berth since 1999.

That’s going to be a fourth-and-12 that will be talked about in both Buffalo, Cincinnati, and Baltimore for quite some time.

Congrats, Bills!
