Myles Garrett is so good, nobody knows who to compare him to

The likely No. 1 pick is having a great combine, and it’s confusing the media.

Texas A&M defensive end Myles Garrett didn’t really need much help from the NFL Combine to boost his draft stock, but he’s certainly not hurting his case for being the near consensus first pick with some good exercising in Indianapolis.

First, there were the 33 reps he put up on the bench press. Very strong.

Then, Sunday morning, he ran an official 4.64 in the 40-yard dash. Very fast. He was faster than all of the top quarterbacks and quite a few running backs, too.

A little later he did his vertical jump. It was very good. 41 inches.

Next was the broad jump. 10’8. Yes, amazing.

But those are just the numbers. They only tell us that he’s good at working out and testing his workout performance. We need more. We need ...

COMPARISONS!!!!

Is Myles Garrett the next Jadeveon Clowney?

Maybe! If he doesn’t get those kind of unrealistic expectations put on him, even better!

Or, is he Khalil Mack?

Maybe!

But wait, what about Mario Williams? Maybe he’s Mario Williams (hopefully not the same Mario Williams who may or may not give a shit about half the snaps he’s on the field for).

Maybe!

And what about Vic Beasley?

Myles Garrett is a man of many comparisons. Ultimately, we’ll come to find out that he is none other than ... Myles Garrett.

Myles Garrett, likely Cleveland Brown.
